"TL_FIX.TXT" 3/5/97 1. TL_FIX.EXE is a self-extracting file containing modified executable and auxilliary files for Tasklink V1.6. If you do not have version 1.6, contact Data I/O Corporate Sales by calling (800) 332-8246. 2. Copy TL_FIX.EXE to the directory where Tasklink is currently installed. (e.g. C:\TL) 3. Run TL_FIX.EXE; You can specify the -o option on the command line to automatically overwrite existing files. Otherwise you will be prompted to overwrite each existing file. 4. This patch file includes the fixes and changes listed below. A complete revision history is included in README.TXT. - Fix potential for TaskLink to get "Internal error 14" messages downloading specific data files to a PSX programmer in IEEE. - Add Automatic RAM fill feature to the PSX series programmers. Feature should not be used with block sizes and or non-default begin addresses. Has to do with the way PSX interprets the block size values the user types in. Task backwards compatibity should be OK. I checked as many old tasks as I could find internally. They all came up with None as the parameter setting. This should be the correct scenerio. However there are no gurantees. - The serialization feature no longer deletes the "serial.dat" file. The file can be deleted by using the "-d" flag on the serialization command line. This required changes to both TaskLink and the serializ.c/serializ.exe files. Users with custom serialization programs may have to modify their source, depending on their own implementation and individual requirements. - The setsize field in a task will now allow for a value of up to 30. Used to be 16. - Serialization program SERIALIZ.EXE no longer complains about the sumcheck field unless the "-s" flag is passed on the command line. - The F7 Algorithm Error feature now works with the ProMaster handler products. - Fix timeout errors when uploading files from the programmer floppy disks. - Make it so the Up arrow and Down arrow keys work in all dialog help topics. - Fix timeout error while sumchecking large devices on a PSX programmer. - Add capability for PSX memory editor to address more than 16 MEG of RAM. - Fix crashing problem when "Creating PC Disk File From RAM", and disk error occurs. Stuff like drive not ready or invalid drive type, etc. - Modify the RAMcheck feature so it does not modify the Sumcheck displayed on the screen and printed in the session log file. This was sometimes a problem when serializing. - Add the capability to display device footnotes on UniSystem programmers. F4 key and new button work from the main menu and the processing screen. New preference to allow automatic display during setup. - The proper ending serial number is now put in the session log file when programming devices on a gang programmer (PSX's).
